what is it?

Sodium PCA is the sodium salt of pyroglutamic acid (PCA). PCA is found in the human skin as a natural humectant. This amino acid is also known as Proline and can be found in skin-replenishing proteins. PCA is a member of the “natural moisturizing factors” that are key compounds to maintaining healthy skin.

Sodium PCA is used in some of BRAHSTON’s formulas because of its superb moisturizing and water-binding properties.

Sodium PCA works by pulling in moisture from the air so that your skin cells can remain continuously hydrated throughout the day.
