what does it do?

Camellia sinensis leaf extract (a.k.a. green tea) is a natural and organic ingredient in BRAHSTON skincare formulas. BRAHSTON uses green tea in our formulas because it provides an assortment of healthy and beneficial compounds and uses.

Green tea has the ability to both protect skin and help repair pre-existing damage. It helps promote repairs to damaged cellular DNA and is also believed to help block the harmful effects of UV radiation when applied topically. Green tea also rarely causes sensitivities for the users when used topically in standard concentrations.

Green tea’s polyphenals / catechins work harmoniously with many other healthy, natural ingredients in our formulas.

One particular catechin in green tea, Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), is believed to speedup hyaluronic acid and vitamins C and E positive effects.

Furthermore, green tea is loaded with antioxidants; it conditions, moisturizes and the protects skin cells; and it also can act as an anti-bacterial ingredient for formula preservation.
